Save Stargate SG-1 Victory (kind of) By admin Published: February 15, 2007
Save Stargate SG-1 Victory (kind of)It was announced last year that after season ten of Stargate SG-1 that would be the end of the popular science fiction television show. This sparked a wave of complaints and even websites dedicated to keeping the show on the air. The Sci Fi channel however would not budge, but it seems the fans of Stargate SG-1 have got a little bit of hope as MGM have announced after season 10 they will make at least two straight to TV/DVD SG-1 movies. The first is meant to be the conclusion to the current season 10 story and the second is something else. There had been talk previously of another two big screen outings for the Stargate franchise, but these have faded into the obscurity of internet rumours.
As everyone knows (especially the two characters that used to be in Farscape) that any TV/DVD movie basically spells the end for a show, but MGM are saying depending on response and sales they could commission up to 4 additional releases although I personally think SG-1 will end before that many are made. Unfortunately a consequence of the SG-1 fans getting all political on us is that they now seem to complain about every single decision the shows now take. This is best reflected when the peasant cousin of SG-1 Atlantis killed off a boring doctor they are now campaigning to bring him back to life lol, Atlantis is lame and they are obviously killing some crap characters off for when SG-1 finishes to try and make it as good as SG-1 (well we hope anyway). To be honest they could do with killing off the whole cast and start from scratch, ermm maybe I'll start a campaign for that lol.
