Heroes is must watch television By admin Published: February 27, 2007
Heroes is must watch televisionOne of the first entries I made when given the task of writing this here television blog was to compile what I thought would be the must watch shows of 2007. Well I've found another show which has to be added to that list of television shows called Heroes.
Heroes is made by NBC (same as Lost) and the reason that Heroes makes it into my must watch is the same reason the likes of 24 does, high production values, dynamic characters, good direction, engrossing and well story etc etc make it highly watchable and wanting more. I hope it doesn't end up like its stable mate with the story getting completely "LOST" and leaving viewers thinking it should be renamed BORED. I won't use (or at least try not to) any spoilers about the show, but as you can probably guess its a kind of modern day superhero program. None of this however means its one for the Sci-Fi fans only though as I can't see why it wouldn't appeal to the masses. To get the idea of what Heroes is about it basically follows the life's of normal people who are starting to discover they have special abilities. This isn't cheesy like the last superhero type program on television that I can remember, The New Adventures of Superman which was appalling in so many ways. Heroes has well defined characters many with flaws and everyday weaknesses and for a change there is a bit of blood lol. Heroes has been running on American television for a while now and has only just started being shown here in the UK on the Sci-Fi channel. If you hate the adverts which do detract away from the flow of the program more than you would initially imagine then you are in luck as BBC 2 will be running Heroes from June (I'll try and find the exact dates the BBC will air the program and put them in my next update). Also there are more details about BBC 2 showing Heroes in the news section from a press release that I managed to find.
