TV blog has the stupid fluYou might have noticed that the site is again going very very slow, and I must apologise as my initial enthusiasm to get the site speeding along after my holiday in Malaysia has been dealt a blow by me catching flu (apparently it common to flu on flights or something). Go to a country with a tropical climate and I get flu, not even malaria (then again they don't actually have any of that in Kuala Lumpur) or dengy fever!! Suppose I should count myself lucky really.
Its also annoying that the Qatar airways flight was actually really pleasant, nice in flight food, nice staff and good service. Suppose it serves me right for actually enjoying a flight for a change, watching Fantastic Four (with the Silver Surfing dude) which was rubbish then the third part of Pirates of the Caribbean which again was rubbish. Ok two rubbish films, but they were mildly entertaining and watchable, Spiderman 3 on the flight out was actually ok if not slightly pretentious. So Qatar airways get a thumbs up for entertainment and food, but a thumbs down for the bloody flu! Still its strange being next to a swimming pool at the Hilton hotel one day in just a pair of shorts then the next be wearing winter clothes snuggled up next to an open log fire! Do you see why I'm annoyed lol. An unfortunate and extremely annoying occurrence if I say myself, I think my employers are also slightly annoyed as so far for September I've only been into work 2 days (normally I would be pleased with only 2 days of work a month, but given the situation its far from perfect). Another annoying thing is that still being sick means that I now can't go clubbing in Norwich this weekend like I was planning on (yeah yeah boo bloody hoo lol). Although I didn't get much time to write any television articles or find cheap LCD and plasma TV deals I did manage to do something constructive and join CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants or something) so I can finally start my Certificate in Business Accounting. See far from being anything to do with televisions, but it is relevant to my bread and butter occupation in revenue control at a law firm and will allow me to one day call myself an accountant (oh the horror) after more exams (and failures and more exams and more failures lol). Anywho this is all rather boring really isn't it, well compared to some unthoughtful comedians making jokes about murdered or missing children, Blue Peter rigging a cat naming vote, Clooney crashing a motorbike, GMTV getting a 2 million pound fine for dodgy phone in competition antics and so on...... Ah well I think this means my flu induced writers block may finally be coming to a well needed end and I can get back to writing the TV blog and news, ah the relief and all it took was a small amount of moaning and ranting about nothing in particular.
