No good films from BBC this New Years Day.

No good films from BBC this New Years Day.

The BBC doesn't seem to share everyones thought that you should see the year out and the new year in with a bang. I've just been looking at what we can expect to be watching on New Years Eve and New Years Day on BBC one and in my opinion is a load of rubbish. Aside from the films BBC1 is just showing its normally abysmal TV shows like Eastenders, more Eastenders, Holby City and a crappy thing about one of televisions most overrated and unfunny sitcoms to ever grace our television screens with The Story of Dibley.

Kill Bill vol 1 on TV

So on to the films being shows on New Years Eve on BBC 1. In the morning they are really scrapping the barrel and showing Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Three Men and a Little Lady. Ok to be fair Honey I Srunk The Kids is still a classic. In the afternoon The Pacifier and Shall We Dance (yes more rubbish films). Prime time television has no films what so ever and just rubbish like Eastenders (my hate for this crap will never end lol). Finally BBC 1 fo have a good film on in the form of Point Break but again this is such an old film now and it doesn't start until 12.10am!! Still worth recording or watching (which no one will be doing as we'll all be drunk and out celebrating by then lol).

New Years Day itself is no better with films The Little Vampire, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, the crappy Sister Act 2 all on early in the day. Once again no films at all on during prime time talk about any good ones then The Count of Monte Cristo and The Colour of Money on really late!

BBC Two does sod all to help out the cause on New Years Eve showing Girl With A Pearl Earing which does have the sexy Scarlett Johansson so I suppose you could hit the mute button and perv if your that way inclined and The Narrow Margin starting at 2.55am which is pointless. New Years Day the films on BBC Two include McLintock, To End All Wars and Build My Gallows High, not BBC 2 have actually saved us on the movie front this New Years Day by deciding to show the brilliant Finding Neverland on at 5.30pm! Finding Neverland is seriously worth watching in fact the only movie worth watching or on at a normal time on the BBC this year.

Right to other films on TV worth watching in the upcoming week on all TV channels and it seriously pains me to say the only decent one I can find is on tomorrow Thursday 27 December BBC Three at 10.30pm Kill Bill Volume 1.

All the more reason to go out and get drunk this New Years. I know I'll be off partying.
