American Televisions.
I was going to see what manufactured televisions are available on the American market, but then I discovered that no easy list is anywhere on the internet which is rather annoying. If it was like here in the UK it wouldn't be such a problem as I pretty much know what companies sell TVs this side of the pond. So I hunted around to see who makes TVs for the American market, well I mean the USA when I say American.
Now this is a very vague list but I'm sure you'll forgive me (to a certain extent I hope lol) and if there are any readers from the USA that think I've missed a company off please get in touch. Anyway here goes companies manufacturing TV's for the American consumer market:
Audiovox Coby Dell (best known for making PC's) Fujitsu Haier Hansa Rare (Called Hannspree and some seriously weird TVs that I'll do a stand alone article on) Hitachi JVC Magnavox Mitsubishi NEC Solutions America Olevia (sometimes called Syntax Olevia) Panasonic Philips Pioneer RCA Samsung Sharp Sony Sylvania Toshiba ViewSonic Westinghouse
Seriously before I started writing and researching this blog post I wouldn't have imagined there being that many LCD and plasma TV brands on offer in the USA! Then again I should know better than to be surprised and I bet I get a email or two telling me of even more companies that I've missed off my American televisions list!
