Stargate SG-1 Final Episode Aired By admin Published: March 17, 2007
Final Episode of Stargate SG-1 Aired on Sky One
The last ever episodes of popular television show Stargate SG-1 has been shown on Sky One in the UK, Sci Fi pulled the plug on the series last year with the final episode ironically called Unending. Although I have often made jokes out of Sci Fi fans being complete geeks I have to say I really did enjoy Stargate SG-1 (accessible to everyone science fiction) and its a shame it has come to an end especially as it seems as popular now as it was 10 years ago.

Palmer-Tomkinson who beat Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose to win the celebrity singing contest . Tara (who the BBC describe as a star for some unknown reason, why is she actually famous anyway?) sang These Boots Are Made For Walking, a number one for Nancy Sinatra in 1966.

Cheap television logo By admin Published: March 12, 2007
Revamping the Cheap Television logo
The site hasn't been up for even a year yet, but we think that the current logo has already got a bit tired. So to try and keep the site modern looking (try being the main word) we are going to try finding a new more marketable, sleek and modern logo to use on cheap television.
Ok so its not exactly television related as such, but as everyone is saying sites like youtube will replace traditional television (not something I agree with completely) I'll use this as an excuse to put this funny music video for Pendulum Slam.

Virgin Versus Sky battle continues By admin Published: March 11, 2007
Its hotting up with the Virgin Versus Sky battle
Listening to Heart this morning (yeah no abuse please it was 7am on my way home from Ikon nightclub in Basildon) in my car and Sky have started putting adverts on the radio telling Virgin Media customers to change to Sky and they will be playing a re run of missed episodes of Lost, 24, the Simpsons etc (catch up week or something). For me I think the biggest losers in all this are us the customers with Sky and Virgin Media wanting to fill there already bulging pockets at our expense.
Top Gear - Will it / Won't it By admin Published: March 11, 2007
Will Top Gear return to BBC 2 in the summer?
There seems to be some confusion as to if Top Gear will actually be returning to our television screens this summer on BBC 2. At the end of the final episode of Top Gear shown last Sunday the voice over said it would be returning in the summer, yet Jeremy Clarkson wrote in his article about when Top Gear will be returning in The Sun newspaper "Can I just say, here and now, it won't be".
The Next Sony BRAVIA Television Commercial By admin Published: March 6, 2007
The Next Sony BRAVIA Television Commercial
Sitting bored out of my head at work today (like most peoples days at work then) I was thinking to myself what could Sony do for the next BRAVIA television commercial for their range of LCD TV's.
Now as I have wrote once or twice already on the cheap television blog I'm not the greatest fan of the Sony BRAVIA range of LCD televisions. Although I have to say I am a big fan of both the bouncing balls and exploding paint commercials. So trying to ignore the fact Sony are now branding most of the home entertainment electronics they produce with the BRAVIA name I was trying to think of what they could do for there next colourful commercial.

Final Top Gear Episode By admin Published: March 5, 2007
Final Top Gear Episode
Well last night was the last episode in the series for Top Gear, yes I'm not joking apparently the BBC think 6 episodes is enough to count as a series for one of BBC 2's most watched television shows. Apparently Top Gear will be back on our television screens this summer, but I do think that it should have a 12 episode run and not be interrupted by Snooker etc. I actually enjoy the Snooker but there is no reason they can't show Top Gear in another prime time slot rather than dropping it for the time the Snooker is on.

No Weekend Cheap TV By admin Published: February 26, 2007
No Weekend Cheap TV
As some of you may have noticed the cheap television site was offline for a fair bit over the weekend. This was annoying for ourselves and totally out of our control (apparently our hosts didn't pay a bill or something silly). Its not really something we can say that can be avoided again though as this would mean completely changing our hosting to another provider which I don't think is going to happen too soon.

Controversial television By admin Published: February 2, 2007
Controversial television
After all the controversial complaints about UK televisions big brother there seems to be no end to controversy this week in the television news. This week the Big Brother fiasco continues with Channel 4 also doing what they do best and upsetting more people (my favorite terrestrial television channel by far) and Top Gear proves its lost none of its spark by upsetting people.
