Simon Cowell making Pop Idol Movie

The music mogul and star of X-Factor and American idol Simon Cowell is planning a pop idol movie. Currently going under the name Star Struck the film will be about 10 contestants trying to win a singing competition, no doubt this'll be another typical American underdog story (but will never compare to Napoleon Dynamite).

Simon Cowell said "We want it to be the musical version of Rocky - an underdog story, a feelgood film. To enjoy the film, you've got to watch the actors and believe that they are contestants on a reality show, we always believed that a TV show like Idol would be successful. I have the same feeling about doing the movie."
