BBC America to show Top Gear
The corporate American arm of the BBC, BBC America (original name I know) is to show Top Gear from August the 20th. The highly successful BBC 2 show will be shown on Monday nights and will start with series 8 which was shown in the UK last summer.
The BBC America website describes the show as "BBC AMERICA presents one of the UK's most popular all-time television franchises. Irreverent, witty, and refreshingly honest, the award-winning Top Gear is a motor show like no other. Featuring super-cars, stunts, time trials, and road tests, each week Top Gear assesses the performance of some of the most desirable cars around. But it is the sharp wit of its presenters, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, that makes Top Gear more than just a motor show."
Not sure American's will get the humor or like the cars (as Top Gear is mostly about European and Japanese), in any case we love Top Gear and can't wait for the new series to start on BB Two in the Autumn.
