Ok I understand that most of you won't know who he is as he did the London regional news on BBC breakfast but anywho news presenter Matt Barbett is joining Channel 5 and was appointed by by new editor David Kermode.

Matt Barbett has actually presented the BBC 1 Breakfast show only a week or two ago, so the BBC must of regarded him pretty highly so is somewhat of a coup for Channel 5 television.
