Patrick Kielty apologises for McCann Jokes The Irish comic Patrick Kielty has apologised after making jokes about the McCann family at a performance in Dublin on Wednesday. Its reported that some members of the audience walked out of the show after finding the topic of his jokes distasteful.
A spokeswoman for Patrick Kielty said " The small number of walkouts reflects the sensitivity of those few people, rather than the content of the show, Patrick is a comedian and the material was written to reflect the media's changing attitude towards the case and should be taken in that context." His spokeswoman also revealed that the same jokes about the McCann family were performed in London recently to no complaints.
