Claire King off to Africa to help kids with AIDS
The former Emmerdale actress Claire King is off on a ted day trek in Africa to help raise money for The Children's Society and to work with kids in Africa with HIV and AIDS. Claire King is hoping her trip will raise thousands of pounds and also awareness, saying that we've never heard of her so how she can raise awareness about anything is anyones guess! 
Claire King told The Sun "I’ve got a charity event coming up in November. I’m trekking in South Africa near Cape Town. It’s a seven-day trek and then we work on a three-day project for poor children with AIDS while we’re out there. It’s going to be heart-wrenching but very worthwhile.”
“I’m starting training next week. But I still need more sponsors to make a difference. I’ve never done anything like this before. I’ve done lots of charity riding events but this will be something completely different.”
