X Factor reject Sisi Jghalef in suicide attempt
Sisi Jghalef who was forced to leave the X Factor group Hope after show producers found out she had a unspent community service order has admitted she tried to commit suicide after struggling with the pressure from the X Factor. Sisi Jghalef has apparently spoken out about her ordeal to help make other young people realise the extreme pressures faced by taking part in these television shows and the lack of support given after the sometimes public humiliation that comes from them.
Sisi Jghalef to the People "Once my X Factor dream was shattered I plunged into a bottomless pit of total depression and worthlessness. On the outside I still tried to be the same bubbly Sisi going out clubbing and being the life and soul of the party but inside I was falling apart. One night I sat in my bedroom watching over and over re-runs of the wonderful moment I'd been told I'd made the final. It was everything I'd ever wanted and worked towards."
"I laid on my bed crying my eyes out and sobbing uncontrollably knowing it was never going to happen. I stumbled into the bathroom to wash away the tears and saw a bottle of paracetamol on the cabinet. I unscrewed the cap and emptied the bottle into my quivering palm - some spilling on the floor as I was shaking so much. I can't remember how many there were and just swallowed them with a gulp of water as I stared back at my swollen face in the mirror."
Sisi Jghalef continued "Since my overdose I've managed to pull myself together thanks to my friends and family. The only reason I'm talking about this is to warn other young people and parents about the pressure put on contestants on such high-profile shows."
Sisi has also spoken out about the amounth of drugs and sex the went on during the X Factor boot camp telling the Daily Mail "I only did a bit of weed. There was a lot more than that going on and there are video tapes to prove it. I saw it all. There were lots of drugs going round besides dope. But it wasn't just the drugs. Put 200 young people in a stately home for a week and you can guess what happens. There were lots of people having sex. Some of the single singers formed bed-hopping groups whenever they could. I remember talking to one lad who said, 'I can't sing today - I'm too tired after having sex all night.' It should have been called Bonk Camp." Oh well she's gone and the X Factor still goes on without anyone really caring so la la la blah blah blah.
