Hayden Panettiere tries to be a dolphin hero.

Hayden Panettiere the sexy blonde cheerleader from the hit US TV show Heroes has been trying to be a real hero, well a hero to dolphins. The actress joined 5 surfer dudes to try and stop Japanese fishermen from driving the pod of dolphins into a cove to be killed. The act wasn't to be successful though as Hayden Panettiere and her dolphin loving friends were blocked by the Japanese fishermen who then proceeded to kill the dolphins in the annual slaughter.

The Heroes star spoke to Sky News about the events saying "It was really frightening. Some of us were hit by the boathook. But in the end all we really worried about was the dolphins. It was so incredibly sad. We were so close to them and they were sky hopping, jumping out of the water to see us. One little baby dolphin stuck his head out and kinda looked at me and the thought that it's no longer with us is really hard to take."

Lucky for Hayden Panettiere she decided to go back to her home in America after the incident as Japanese authorities could have arrested her for trespassing. Imagine the headlines 'Hayden Panettiere Arrested' not for taking drugs, drink driving or running around naked like other US socialites, but for trying to save dolphins. Actually I don't thing it would harm Hayden Panettiere's image at all! I did try hunting for some videos on Youtube as well of some pictures of the event, but I couldn't find anything which is rather a shame.

its evidently obvious that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere supports the campaign to save Japanese dolphins, a marine conservationist and an eco mentalist. Then again if I had as much money as Hayden Panettiere I might spend my time swanning off around the world doing something morally just, but like the rest of the world I'm not rich lol.

All this talk of the hot Heroes star has reminded me I must investigate further into finding out when season two of Heroes will be shown on BBC2, its not fair that its already up to episode 6 in the US. We want Heroes season 2 and we want it now.
