Emily Nakanda leaves the X Factor

Emily Nakanda leaves the X Factor

Sharon Osbourne's 15 year old X Factor contestant Emily Nakanda has decided to leave ITV's prime time television show. It appears the decision follows reports of Emily Nakanda being seen attacking another girl in a mobile phone video. In the video it is reported that Emily Nakanda grabs the other girl known as Anna in a headlock then grabs her hair, sings her around, hits her then Emily Nakanda pushes the girl to the ground. Seems Emily Nakanda has provided the most excitement to this years rather mundane X Factor in all the wrong ways.

Emily Nakanda leaves the x factor

Emily Nakanda will leave the X Factor with immediate effect although according to the TV shows producers this Saturdays episode will go ahead as normal. I did try to find a video of the Emily Nakanda attack on youtube but couldn't find it anywhere. Even if I did find the video of Emily Nakanda attacking the girl on youtube I'm afraid we wouldn't post it on cheap television as its degrading to the victim and just not the kind of behavior we condone.

A spokeswoman for the X Factor said "In response to the stories in the papers this week regarding Emily Nakanda, we have conducted our own investigations into the matter and we can confirm that she has chosen to withdraw herself from the competition with immediate effect."

Going by the statement made by the X Factor spokeswoman we can only assume that the reports of Emily Nakanda attacking another girl are (maybe) true. If they are true there is little doubt in my mind that the X Factor producers would have given Emily Nakanda a little push to help her leave the singing competition.

Emily Nakanda's mum Louis Friberg kind of confirmed this by saying she had "no choice" but to leave the X Factor. She continued "As a family we are heartbroken and are very disappointed with Emily's behavior. Emily and all the family sincerely apologise to Anna, her school and all the fans that have supported Emily. Emily regrets her actions but there is no way, as a family, we can excuse her behavior. Emily is very sorry to have let the show, Sharon Osbourne and the viewers down."

At least they have appologised for Emily Nakanda's attack I guess! The leaves Sharon Osbourne looking like the first X Factor judge as after losing Emily Nakanda she only has Alisha Bennet as a contestant. Saying that we already knew Sharon Osbourne would do rubbish before the departure of Emily Nakanda, as she picked the most mundane acts out of the most mundane X Factor series ever!

Oh well I don't think the X Factor this year can get any worse, at least last year it did have some really good talent, this year....... Erm yeah over hyped karaoke.
