Sony and Sharp join for LCD TV's.

Sony and Sharp have agreed to join forces for the LCD TV market with Sony taking a stake in Sharp's LCD panel factory. Some of you maybe thinking this is slightly strange with Sont televisions being made at a Sharp factory, but they currently have a similar relationship with South Korean electronics company Samsung!

Sony and Samsung are two of the leading manufacturers of LCD televisions and Sony moving to Sharp will probably be better for us consumers as it could help competition. Well that'll be true until Sharp catch both Sony and Samsung up in the LCD TV market anyway! If it means cheaper LCD televisions and faster development of new TV technologies then we're all for it.
