Russell T Davies to quit Doctor Who.
The man who was instrumental in bringing the cult classic TV show Doctor Who to our television screens is to step down as the lead writer and executive producer. The announcement was made today and will see Steven Moffat take over the reigns for the next series of Doctor Who. We are in for a long wait to see if this will be a bad or good move as it won't be aired on our televisions until 2010.
Russell T Davies said about stepping down from his current Doctor Who role "It's been a delight and an honour working with Steven, and I can't wait to see where his extraordinary imagination takes The Doctor. Best of all, I get to be a viewer again, watching on a Saturday night!"
