Aqua Dots RecallIn the USA there has been a rather shocking piece of news about the Aqua Dots recall, it appears that 4.2 million (yes that many) of the Aqua Dots kits have been recalled due to the beads containing a chemical similar to a 'date rape' drug! I seriously had to go and make sure it wasn't April when I heard about this Aqua Dots recall. No doubt this is another blow for toy manufacturers in the run up to Christmas and could potentially lead to greater sales in video games, DVD's and television related products after the recall of many cheap substandard Chinese toys entering the toy market.

Oprah's move into the video sharing website genre kind of confirms that the likes of Youtube really are catching up with the television networks in the battle for advertising space.

Not my words, but the words of David Walliams who says his and Matt Lucas's Little Britain TV show was hyped. Then again Little Britain was screened on BBC television which has a seriously bad habit of hyping its own shows, especially comedy TV shows. If you don't believe me watch Jonathan Ross, it seems every week he has some unknown comedians that have a show on BBC Three alongside some actually famous people!

The joint venture between Virgin Media and Setanta Sports will see a rival to Sky Sports News released this month in the form of Setanta Sports News. The new channel will be launched this month on the 29th and will be available to Virgin Media basic TV customers and free to air on digital satellite. Setanta Sports News will be a 24 hour TV channel (as is the norm) and will be produced by ITN which is slightly worrying after the failure of the ITV news channel which disappeared from our TV screens a while back.

Kiefer Sutherland prepares for prison fights.24 actor Kiefer Sutherland obviously has a lot of faith in the American rehabilitation and justice system as Kiefer who plays televisions Jack Bauer has been working out in preparation for his sentence in prison. The television star will serve 18 days in Mira Loma Detention Centre after being convicted of drink driving (its not big nor clever kids). The 24 actors sentence begins on 18 December and Kiefer Sutherland believes his role as Jack Bauer will make him a obvious target for bored inmates wanting a little entertainment saying ""Let’s face it, they are all going to take on Jack Bauer. I know that I will have to look out for myself but I am ready."

Actress Tina Hobley who plays Chrissie Williams in the BBC medical drama Holby City has announced she is pregnant with her second child. Tina Hobeley already has a 8 year old daughter called Isabella from a previous relationship so this will be her first child with current partner Oliver Wheeler. The 36 year old actress married Oliver in December last year at a candlelit service and from the sounds of it the couple are very happy at the news of a baby being on the way.

In an effort to make the Grey's Anatomy set more environmentally friendly television top dogs have banned actors from having plastic bottled drinks. It appears that all actors and actresses in Grey's Anatomy have now been given a thermos flask from which they drink from. Now in its fourth season Grey's Anatomy is one of America's most popular television shows and maybe it will have a slight effect on the publics environmental consiouce hearing that the Grey's Anatomy cast are going green.

Australian news presenter found dead in Sydney.
Australia's Network Ten's primetime evening news co-anchor Charmaine Dragun has been found dead in a well known Sydney suicide spot. The Australian news presenter was only 29, her body was found by Sydney police near Sydney's sea cliffs. The police aren't treating Charmaine Dragun's death as suspicious so we can only assume that she took her own life.

No unfortunately this isn't a joke! From what we understand the Heroes spin off show Heroes: Origins looks likely to be the first casualty in the strike by the writers Guild of America and could potentially leave Heroes: Origins permanently canceled! It hasn't been completely confirmed as of yet but according to reports reaching us NBC Universal entertainment have already decided to drop the 6 episodes of Heroes: Origins from the production schedule!

Konami delay MGS4 LaunchOh no I hear you scream, but unfortunately its true, Japanese gaming giant Konami has changed the scheduled UK release date for MGS4 from March 30 to sometime between April and June 2008. Obviously many gamers will be disappointed that MGS4 has been pushed back as Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of Patriots is one of the most hotly anticipated games for Sony's Playstation 3. No doubt Sony will also be slightly disheartened as such a high profile game could turn the tide for the PS3 against the family friendly fast selling Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's Xbox 360 with its great selection of A* games.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have to take second hand cars costing no more than £1,500 on a desert safari in Africa and just for fun the Top Gear producers have decided they are not allowed any 4x4 vehicles lol. No doubt they will come across some of the most fearsome creatures known to man, including the rare but deadly African Stig who will no doubt trash whatever cars the Top Gear boys decide to take on the challenge to Africa.
