Yes its almost time for this weekend’s round of The X Factor on ITV 1 (although cheap televisions is looking forward to Top Gear a bit more). As well as rumours of Janet Jackson and Lady GaGa (boy) spearing on the popular TV show in December Eminem has apparently said he would like to be a guest judge alongside Simon Cowell to help root out “average” singers.

Time for some slightly weird televisions news on cheap TVs today as according to a couple of random newspaper reports the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il is to ban the 2010 World Cup coverage on TV. Well they will apparently only be showing TV highlights of the football feast but only if they are victories for the North Korean football team in the World Cup and even then will be heavily edited.

Sexy X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has landed herself a one off prime-time television show on ITV. The show to be called Cheryl Cole’s Night In will be shown on TV on Saturday the 19th of December (wow think I might cancel my trip to Manchester for this). There aren’t many other details at the moment but according to the reports in the Sun Cheryl Cole will perform a duet with one of the member of the worst band in the world Black Eyed Peas.

The BBC have confirmed Psycoville will get a second series although you will have to wait until Spring 2011 for the full 6 new episodes to be shown on TV! Although from the little note on the BBC Psychoville website they’re planning for a one off winter (probably Christmas) special in 2010.

The British Comedy Awards return to ITV for its 20th year. Jonathan Ross returns to host the TV awards on Saturday 12th December on ITV1 and ITV2. Cheap television loves a bit of comedy on the TV so is looking forward to seeing who this year’s winners and losers will be. Last night he returned in one of the best TV shows now in HD on the planet (according to us at cheap televisions anyway) in the form of Top Gear on BBC Two last night.
