I’m afraid so, but a lot has been happening here on the cheap television blog so here’s another quick update. So far this week we’ve finally migrated our TV site to a new and hopefully more reliable hosting provider and upgraded our blogging system (all very boring I know). By the weekend we hope to revamp the design of cheap televisions for a more clean professional look but are doing some testing to find out what works best before going live.

Producers for one of cheap televisions favourite television shows Top Gear have apologised after presenters Jeremy Clarkson and James May were shown on Sundays show parked in disabled bays whilst reviewing electric cars. Viewers have apparently complained after the Top Gear team used two disabled bays to film part of the last episode in the series in what appeared to be an almost empty car park.

I’ve been hunting around for the best and cheapest deals on Blu-ray DVD players currently on sale in the UK and thought I’d share the most affordable option currently being sold by UK electronics store Currys. It’s the PHILIPS BDP3200 Blu-ray Player which Currys are currently selling for £79.99! A very cheap bargain when you consider a standalone Blu-ray player used to cost the same as a Sony Playstation 3 which includes one.

Ok you have to take this rumour with a very big pinch salt, but there have been a lot of reports in the TV industry recently that Apple will launch three HD televisions in 2012. The cheap television team see lots of these rumours all the time floating around certain sound and vision blogs, but the most recent ones have been on site like What Hi Fi which tries it’s best not to fuel the Apple rumour mill.

We haven’t had any sex scandal or naked celebrity blog nonsense for a while so as the new series of The X Factor is on its way, here goes. New X Factor judge and member of N-Dubz Tulisa has said she lost her virginity at 14, regularly carried a knife, stole random stuff and took drugs! Well done ITV for putting a great role model on our televisions in front of our children for Saturday night prime time viewing.

This TV commercial is one of the cheap television gangs favourites, ok it has been doing the round in America for some time but we recently caught the Old Spic Guy doing his thing on British TV too. There is a whole series of these Old Spic Guy TV commercials most of which can be found on the official Old Spice Youtube page and are well worth checking out.

This week Sky TV sent me through an offer of returning to their satellite television subscription service half price for a year. The deal from Sky also includes the sports and movie channels! I left Sky several months ago and blogged about why I was leaving on this here cheap television blog.
Half Price Sky TV Deal
During August we are going to be making several changes to the cheap televisions website to hopefully give it a new lease of life. Firstly we will be moving hosts from the totally unreliable American servers cheap television is currently hosted on to a UK hosting provider that we’ve found to be very reliable for our other websites. Cheap televisions has got pretty big over time so it’s not going to be such an easy job moving so much data.
Secondly, after the move, we will be revamping the look of the site as it has got a bit boring over the years. The layout isn’t as good as it could be either and with all the new types of TV technology flooding the market the plasma and LCD TV sections that the site is based on really need to be expanded. So the idea is cheap televisions will be able to expand with the increasing technologies like 3d TV and LED televisions.
