More Top Gear Car Crashes.

It seems the worlds best car TV Top Gear show has a little bit of a jinx when it comes to car crashes. Today in the UK housewives BBC2 favourite Richard Hammond crashed his £110,000 Morgan Aeromax in a four car pileup. Meanwhile down under presenter Steve Pizzati of the Austrailian version of televisions Top Gear managed to flip his car in a crash whilst racing as a guest driver in the Aussie Racing Cars series.

BBC Obtain Formula One TV Rights

Formula One racing will be returning to the BBC from 2009 after they secured a 5 year deal for the TV rights. Formula One has been on ITV for the past 12 years but the BBC’s acquisition means us viewers won’t have to be interrupted by television commercials during the race. Finally something other than Top Gear that the TV license fee is worth paying for. According to the BBC Formula One coverage will be online as well as on radio and television. BBC TV Shows on iTunes

BBC television has confirmed it is to put its TV shows on Apples iTunes download service. The move is a bit strange considering you can already watch them earlier and for free on the BBC iPlayer! The cost of each show is £1.89 and although I can’t see much demand for the download service in the UK it may have some potential from a global point of view. Life on Mars

The BBC One TV show Life on Mars is drama series which stared John Simm as DCI Sam Tyler who after being struck by a car in the year 2006 and reawakens in 1973. The TV show follows the life Sam Tyler working for the Manchester Police alongside Gene Hunt who is played brilliantly by Philip Glenister whilst trying to work out if he is dead, in a coma, travelled back in time or just gone totally mad and is imagining that he’s in 1973.

No extra TV for Ricky Gervais

Comedian and co creator of TV shows The Office and Extras Ricky Gervais has said he has no plans to start working on a new TV show at the moment and wants to concentrate on his movie career. The Extras Christmas special was watched by over 5 million people yesterday. Ricky who has become the face of self absorbed egotism and made himself look ridiculous at the Dianna concert when the ‘stand up’ comedian couldn’t even keep the audience entertained for 5 mins is working on 3 films in 2008. One film is called This Side Of The Truth alongside Jennifer Garner, secondly Ghost Town and The Man At The Pru which Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant are creating together.
