New Sony Bravia LCD Range of Televisions

After last weeks news about Sony OLED televisions it seems like every week here at cheap TV we have news about a new Sony Bravia television or range of HD TVs (I don’t know what the deal with other manufacturers like Pioneer and Panasonic is)! And this week is no exception with the announcement from Sony of the X4500 and W4500 LCD Bravia Televisions. Neither of these new models will be a bargain cheap TV though with the X4500 tele range coming in at two large sizes at 46″ and 55″ with Full HD 1080p resolution and the W4500 televisions 40″, 46″ and 52″ again all Full HD.

Sony announce Bravia W4000 LCD TV

Japanese electronics giant Sony has announced a new addition to the Bravia range with the W4000 LCD TV which is aimed at the high end of its television range. We don’t really have any details on sizes or prices from Sony although you can be sure that it won’t be a cheap LCD TV when its released. Sony dominates televisions on Amazon

Electronics giant Sony really is dominating the Amazon top 10 best-selling list on the televisions section of its store. Out of the top 10 TV products Sony accounts for 7 of them! Of that 7 items all are Bravia LCD TV’s made by Sony, actually out of the 10, 9 are LCD televisions and one is a wall bracket which just goes to show how much better LCD’s are doing on the consumer market than the equivalent plasma tellys! Sony to drop rear projection TVs

Japanese electronics giant Sony has confirmed plans that it will stop producing rear projection screen TVs. Sony puts the move down to lack of demand (instead of admitting they are rubbish like we all know). However Sony will continue to focus all its attention on the LCD screen TV market (Bravia televisions) and develop the newer technology OLED TVs (organic light-emitting diode). Sony Bravia LCD Televisions

Sony’s Bravia range of LCD televisions use Sony’s so called Bravia engine which stands for “Best Resolution Audio Visual Integrated Architecture” to put this in to more plain terms this is a snippet from Sony’s site on what the Bravia engine means:

“BRAVIA ENGINE is the high picture performance engine used in the latest Sony LCD televisions. An original picture tuning and noise reduction process was developed by Sony to guarantee vivid and high contrast images. The complex noise reduction process enhances low contrast images until they are crisp and realistic, and processes blues, greens and whites within each frame to generate the richness and colour accuracy.”.
