A few weeks ago on this here cheap televisions blog I mentioned the current 12 months half price deal for customers returning to Sky TV I received in the post. So after much pondering I finally decided to give in and take Sky up on the offer using a promotional discount code, it’s much cheaper than normal and I do love a television related bargain. Rather than just sticking with the television packs I had previously with Sky television I decided to also add the Sky Sports package which with the offer comes in at a reasonably cheap £20 a month!

Kim Jong-il Bans World Cup 2010 TV Coverage In North Korea.

Time for some slightly weird televisions news on cheap TVs today as according to a couple of random newspaper reports the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il is to ban the 2010 World Cup coverage on TV. Well they will apparently only be showing TV highlights of the football feast but only if they are victories for the North Korean football team in the World Cup and even then will be heavily edited.

Gary Lineker Scary TV

Ex England striker Gary Lineker has said live television is more scary than taking penalties for the England football team in a World Cup! Yes we here at cheap televisions are wondering if it should not be the other way around too. The BB1 Match Of The Day presenter also said he had to really work hard at becoming a good television presenter.

Premiership games on Setanta for February

Sports TV channel Setanta has announced its English Premiership football games to be broadcast live in February. I was personally a bit bewildered as Setanta is only showing 4 live games!!
