Photography On TV

I obviously like television hence having cheap television blog dedicated to it but my other passion is taking pictures hence also running a photography blog. Last night I got a combination of both of my favourite things on the iPlayer (as I missed it first time around) with the TV programme called “Shooting the Hollywood Stars”. It followed the famous photographer Rankin around as he tried to create some of the iconic photographs from Hollywood and although it wasn’t the best programme / documentary ever it was good to see photography getting a prime time slot on BB2 on a Saturday evening.

Philips Pro 40PFL9704 LED TV.

Check out this stunning looking new LED TV from Philips. Its called the 40PFL9704 and it has to be one of the best looking new televisions on the market today. Philips are calling this LCD TV with LED backlighting “LED Pro”. I guess this is one way for them to help market this very stylish television at £1,800 (no cheap television deals on this one). The picture above is of the 40 inch LED TV model with a bigger 46 inch brother 46PFL9704 (£2,500) due in shops sometime in December.

James May Builds Meccano Bridge.

Tonight at 8pm on BBC Two (on televisions and on the BBC iPlayer) Top Gear’s James May is going to attempt to build a bridge entirely out of Meccano on his TV show Toy Stories. It’s not the best thing on TV but Cheap televisions has enjoyed the previous two episodes (building a Spitfire and making a garden from Plasticine) but tonight’s episode appears to be more challenging from the preview video clips cheap TVs have seen.
