2009 is coming to an end and cheap televisions keeps seeing numerous sites doing their “best of the year” awards. So we thought we’d join the party and have a best cheap television of the year award type thing. It would be easy to choose something very cheap but we wanted something that performs and offers a lot of value and features. So what is Cheap Televisions best value TV of the year? Well its not a cheap lcd tv instead we went for big screen, big on features, with a small price tag to finance it and picked a 50 inch plasma TV. Just looking around the Argos website and they are advertising this Bush A642F 42 inch LCD television in their TV deals of the week! But is it really a good deal or even a cheap lcd tv? Argos sell this for £469.99 (ignore was prices regardless of where you buy your television from) which to me doesn’t seem very cheap for a low budget branded LCD when you could get well reviewed and better branded TVs from LG like the 42LF2500 cheap lcd tv and the LG 42PQ2000 plasma television for under £500 from Argos!

LG has unveiled this amazing looking LED backlight HDTV SL9000 LCD TV. it looks incredible because it has almost no frame at all and is a super slim 3cm! The television will be sold in two sizes in the UK the cheapest model being the 42 inch 42SL9000 costing around £1,100 and the 47 inch 47SL9000 coming in somewhere near £1,500. Saves you money too as LED technology uses much less energy making those electricity bills cheaper (still more power usage than old style CRT televisions).
