Not Another TV Blog Update!

I’m afraid so, but a lot has been happening here on the cheap television blog so here’s another quick update. So far this week we’ve finally migrated our TV site to a new and hopefully more reliable hosting provider and upgraded our blogging system (all very boring I know). By the weekend we hope to revamp the design of cheap televisions for a more clean professional look but are doing some testing to find out what works best before going live.

We’ve also been spending much more time updating our television related content to keep everything fresh and up to date. Blogging takes time but we think we’ve now managed to find a way to keep you up to date with all the latest TV news and to stop the site getting stale like it has in the past.

In July cheap television had 3,449 visitors from around 100 countries, the top 10 being the United kingdom, United States, Ireland, Philippines, India, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Indonesia and Germany . With the new improved design and faster turnaround of fresh content we hope to double that number to our TV blog over the next few months.

Tom Cruise Enjoys Top Gear.

Ok what cheap televisions likes to call the best show on television (Top Gear) has been all over the news recently after Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz went flying around the Top Gear test track in the reasonably priced car. Does anyone know times for Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz? Cheap TVs would love to know before anyone else.

Tom Cruise is apparently quoted by What’s On TV as saying: “It was fun, very fun. I like fast cars and motorcycles – I’ve always loved them since I was a kid. We did timed laps. It’s very exciting – we know the score and we want to tell everybody, but we can’t because we want them to watch the show. I love speed. What I love about it is that you have to live in the moment, and I love just being in the moment.”

That’s fantastic Tom but it doesn’t explain why you made this rather rubbish film with Cameron Diaz (well apart from the money). I may like a bargain cheap television but I don’t want to watch crappy films on it when they come to DVD and BlueRay.

Psychoville Series 2 Confirmed

The BBC have confirmed Psycoville will get a second series although you will have to wait until Spring 2011 for the full 6 new episodes to be shown on TV! Although from the little note on the BBC Psychoville website they’re planning for a one off winter (probably Christmas) special in 2010.

The note on the site reads “Your next appointment at Ravenhill Hospital will be Winter 2010. With six further courses of treatment to be taken at weekly intervals from Spring 2011″.

Psychoville stars Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton, Dawn French and Jason Hopkins. Its written by a couple of guys that made the popular TV show The League Of Gentlemen and got its first television airing on BBC Two on 18 June 2009.

Its been a seriously busy time recently on the cheap televisions site, visitors are increasing on a daily basis, we now have a TV Commercials category and a Twitter page. All of these things should make it easier for us to bring you the latest and best TV deals on LCD, Plasma and LED TVs. Not to mention fresh television news on the entertainment side, funny, controversial and banned TV commercials. All is going well and we are well exceeding our daily post target at the moment.

We are getting visitors to the cheap TVs blog for some odd things recently too like “amy alexandra television x”, “resident evil zombies” and “naked gavin and stacy”. but the majority are things that you would expect like: LCD TV Deals, Best TV Deals, Very Cheap TVs, Big LCD TVs etc.

I’m sure this is boring you all but it is a TV blog after all. Our next plans are to create an inbox for companies to send their press releases to us. If you do have a press release just contact us using the contact form then we will email you our cheap televisions press release inbox.

Barbara Windsor says goodbye to Eastenders.

Yes Barbara Windsor who plays Peggy Mitchell in one of the longest and most rubbish TV shows ever Eastenders (yes we here at Cheap Television hate Eastenders) is set to leave the Square next year. Personally we’re waiting for the news that the TV show has died, we’d even be happy to bring the axe down on it ourselves.

After the news that Barbara Windsor is leaving Eastenders was announced she apparently said ” I’ll be so sad to leave Peggy behind. EastEnders has been wonderful to me and it’s no secret that it changed my life all of those years ago” and “I’m looking forward to the future and I suppose when all’s said and done, I should spend a bit more time with my old man, as he’s not getting any younger.”
