Cheap Panasonic LCD TV Deal Tesco Televisions

Tesco aren’t exactly the best when it comes to explaining the features on any of the Tesco televisions they sell. The description for this Panasonic LCD TV deal only says “The Panasonic TX-L26C10B 26″ HD Ready LCD TV with built-in Freeview offers advanced picture and sound quality for home entertainment.  You can also link other AV devices via Viera link with the use of one remote & playback for digital photos (JPEG ) by just inserting the SD card into the TV.  The TV has a built-in Nicam sound system with 2 HDMI and 2 SCART connections.”

But anywho onto the reviews for the Panasonic TX-L26C10B LCD television sold by Tesco that I mentioned earlier. The 9.4 out of 10 score in the customer reviews for this cheap television come from around 30 people (not the normal 1 biased review). Below is one of the custome reviews which is actually the most negative I could find with 8 out of 10 but its the most balanced review of the Panasonic LCD television at Tesco in my humble opinion.

Good Points “Excelent value for money product. I bought it as a bedroom TV so did not need all the bells and whistles that came with a higher spec TV. One important aspect that had to be right was the sound quality as we had been very disappointed with Samsung model which had sounded very thin but this Panasonic is definitely good enough and has audio output anyway.”

Bad Points “Not that it is a problem with our set up because we view it face on but the quality of the picture is diminished when viewed from a shallow angle, a common issue with lesser spec LCD screens.”

This 40 inch LCD is described as “40 inch HD-ready 1080p LCD TV, blending superb picture and audio quality and delivering it in a slim and stylish package.”. Probably not what you would call a cheap LCD TV but comes with lots of features. Full 1080p high definition and one of the customer reviews says “Great picture quality – excellent blacks being the stand out feature, sound is quite acceptable too. The Freeview quality is very good – would not bother paying the extra money for a 100Hz model as it is as good as my father’s 42XV635DB apart from not being able to play videos through the USB slot”

2. SAMSUNG LE32B554M2WXXU.

A 32 inch cheap LCD TV again featuring full HD 1080p resolution and a digital receiver with all Freeview channels. The Comet website describes this television with some of the most anal sales garbage I’ve seen in a while so I wont bore you with it here on the cheap LCD TV post. Currently they have no reviews however is you own a Samsung LE32B554M2WXXU LCD TV please use the comments section to give us your review or general opinions about this television.

3. KENMARK 19LVD45D cheap LCD TV.

At 3 is a rather cheap LCD TV but I can honestly say I’ve never heard of Kenmark before? Its a 19 inch screen and only costs £150 with Comet describing it as “Kenmark 19LVD45D 19inch HD ready LCD TV with built-in DVD player and integrated Freeview tuner for a wider viewing choice and no need for an extra box.” Maybe I’ve already found my cheap LCD TV, but I think I’ll take a little trip tomorrow to see what the picture quality is. It has got good reviews on there site though with an average score of 4.8 out of 5! One of them bluntly said “picture quality excellent, sound 5/5, easy set up 5/5, excellent value for money, in other words very happy with the t.v.”

4. PANASONIC TX-L42S10B.

Ah finally a Panasonic LCD TV makes it into the mix. This is the TX-L42S10B 42 inch full HD model and its not a cheap LCD TV, its the most expensive LCD TV here. Panasonic’s marketing jargon says “The wide 178° viewing angle* ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight’s wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response. *Measured at an angle where the contrast ratio is 10:1 or higher. Enjoy realistic starlit skies right in your living room. Improvements in panel contrast and scene-adaptive contrast gamma correction have achieved a high contrast ratio of 20,000:1. The backlight tuning area is also expanded to achieve deeper blacks.” Cheap televisions says Panasonic make some of the best televisions on the market today, even if they are boring LCD TVs lol. 5. TOSHIBA 32AV615DB.

Another Toshiba Regza LCD TV this time a 32 inch model with Toshiba describing it as “The REGZA AV61 series is the ideal digital and HD Ready LCD TV for the budget-conscious home. This technology is constantly evolving to take advantage of technical advancements designed to enhance the colour, detail, movement and contrast of the images you watch. Available in 26, 32 and 37 inch screen sizes, the AV61 series boasts a contemporary black gloss finish, with narrow bezels and new slim speakers. The stylish design hides a wealth of technology, including 3 x HDMI™ slots, a PC Input connection and powerful audio performance from the integrated stereo speakers”. Now this must be a seriously popular cheap LCD TV as Amazon have around 145 reviews for the Toshiba 32AV615DB! One of the more modest ones says “After much searching and reading numerous reviews on lcd tv’s I finally settled on buying a Toshiba but when I went to purchase the tv there was a link to this one which was the newer model. Although there was no reviews for this model I took a gamble and ordered it anyway. I am very pleased I did.”.

6. GOODMANS LD2271D

Wow I used to own a Goodmans CRT television years ago! Not sure what they’re LCD televisions are like although I do know they are relatively cheap. The boring and not very detailed description says “Goodmans LD2271D 22 inch HD-ready LCD TV with integrated Freeview digital tuner so you can receive full available channels through your aerial, including radio stations. Also features a single HDMI connection, ideal for SKY HD or PlayStation 3 consoles.” There are no reviews yet on this LCD TV that cheap televisions could find. There is however a very strange concept with a Q&A part to the Comet website. One question is “is it a good buy?” the answer by someone called KING “yes this tv is worth buying FACT”. Ermmm very invigorating and descriptive lol.

Panasonic TX-P42G10B 42 Inch Plasma Television

The Panasonic TX-P42G10B is a 42 inch full HD (1080p) plasma television and a 10th generation screen. It has brilliant reviews from television magazines like whathifi as well as user reviews on amazon (23 out of 27 reviews giving it 5 out of 5 stars). As well as brilliant picture quality it is very well built and cheap televisions thinks it will make most LCD TVs look rubbish in comparison.

Technical specifications for any that want them are: “With a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1, a frequency of 600 Hz and a response time of 0.001 ms, the Panasonic TX-P42G10B plasma screen beats all kinds of records to bring you unrivalled high-definition quality! One thing to keep in mind about the Currys special offers and Currys in general is that although they are the online company of Dixons sometime their prices vary dramatically. For example Currys are advertising the LG 32LH3000 32 inch LCD TV for what they say is a good deal at £399.00 but if you search on google for that television model you get results from Dixons selling it £30 cheaper! The you obviously have the competition to consider too.

Panasonic VIERA 42 Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

They are both on sale at Best buy but as the original article mentions be careful of shipping costs as they add $70 on top of the final price (pick up from the store if you can).

The televisions in questions are the Panasonic – VIERA / 42″ Class / 720p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV which has pretty much 5 out of 5 stars on all the reviews on the Best Buy website including one saying: “After weeks and weeks of comparing LCD and plasma, I saw this price for 42 inches and couldn’t pass it up. Couldn’t be happier with the product. Have not got the HD connected yet, but honestly I have never had HD before and the picture on this seems closer to HD than regular. Unlike the LCD’s which give you extremely bright color, this TV actually looks realistic and I love it. If you are hesitant about getting a plasma, don’t be, the prices are too good to pass up and the picture is incredibly refined. And with the money you save buying a plasma, you could pick up an inexpensive surround sound if needed.”

The Insignia is a 42 inch LCD television which comes with full HD 1080p resolution. The model was Insignia® – 42″ Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV but just as I’m writing this I’ve noticed its gone back up to full price ?. Ok maybe we’ll get lucky and they’ll drop it down to the sub $500 price again soon!

LG 50PS3000 Is It The Best Cheap 50 Inch Plasma Television

The LG 50PS3000 is only £694.12 @ Dixons at the moment and for a good 50 inch plasma television is a bit of a bargain. You could probably find it even cheaper at some of the smaller or online only retailers. A quick mention about Samsung, I just found out they were apparently told by advertising standards not to market their LCD televisions as LED TVs and if they want to shout about LED’s they must describe the televisions as LED Backlight.

One thing to keep in mind is that there maybe some bargains coming in the January sales but please remember that VAT goes back up to 17.5% in January.

Cheap Televisions Running On Coffee

Ok so it’s pretty sad but I personally think it’s been worth the effort with a lot more posts now on cheap televisions. We’re still well off the 500 or so articles on the old version of the site but we’ve managed to hit almost 60 entries in a rather short period of time.

My content writing skills seem to not be as good as they once we’re but I can see a gradual increase in the quality of my writing ability on cheap televisions (if I say so myself) over the past few weeks. I’ve also added a blu-ray DVD category to cheap television along with the new TV Show Info section which I hope are both good additions.

The iPod wordpress app to blog on the go has been used a few times too but it’s not as easy to write on the move and posts become a little rushed. I will still use this great little feature for cheap televisions but maybe as first drafts then edit on my home computer to keep the quality at a held decent level.

Peope visiting cheap televisions from all over the world have increased too. On the old site we averaged about 2500 visitors a day huntin for LCD and plasma tv deals as well as checking out all the latest television news. However this dropped substantially when it got deleted to roughly 150 a day. This was pretty upsetting for everyone who had worked so hard on cheap televisions but at the end of October we we’re starting to average around 450 a day so it’s all starting to look good again at cheap television.

As I mentioned earlier we get visitors from all over the world and looking at our google analytics account the top ten of these cheap television visitors during October came from: United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Canada, Philippines, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Australia and Brazil.

Ok its a bit strange Germany being the third most popular country that visitors hit cheap televisions from but I’m glad it is as I visit Germany a lot (particularly Bremen and the pretty little town of Verden). Also from what I’ve seen and heard the quality of English in Germany is vastly better than many peoples here in Essex lol.

The rest of the countrys to make up the top 20 are: India, Japan, Maxico, Spain, Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Argentina.

The Panasonic TXP42X10B comes in at £523.99 at Dixons and is a HD Ready 42 inch plasma television featuring all the usual bits and bobs like 3 HDMI connectors. 2 SCART 1 PC and so on. Contrast ratios are pretty much regarded as rubbish marketing now so I wont bore you with any of those details, your just better off going to the shop yourself and see what you think of the picture.

The “blurb” on Dixons website says “The Panasonic VIERA TXP42X10B 42″ HD Ready Plasma TV incorporates a range of fantastic technologies to deliver superb quality images and advanced networking capabilities. For viewing action movies and fast moving sports, the VIERA TXP42X10B features a trio of advanced technologies to enhance the experience. Take what you want from that however over at Amazon where the same plasma television sells for £579.91 it has 7 customer reviews all giving it 5 stars! I’ve plucked 2 reviews from Amazon’s customers to give you a better feel as to if the Panasonic TXP42Z10B is worth your hard earned money or not.

Panasonic Plasma TXP42Z10B review 1 from Toby: “I bought one of these after having a Panasonic px80 for a short period. These unit need proper bedding in for the first few hundred hours display (or much shorter if you use a utility like jscreenfix). The display does improve further after this bedding in period.

To keep this short, the display is excellent, both SD and HD despite this only being a HD ready resolution. Blacks are deep and detail is fabulously clear, Regarding size: You need at least a 12 *12 room for these 42″ screens not to be somewhat overpowering. I would suggest that for smaller rooms the 37″ model would give a better experience.

The only downsides i see are : Over scaling if turned off shows that these units need better screen alignment from the factory. 3 out of 4 units I have viewed had relatively minor but irritating screen alignment issues which cannot be adjusted without accessing the engineers service menu (which could invalidate your warranty).

The on-board tuner appears to be poorer quality than the older px8 models. Other than that, the quality is utterly superb as long as you have good quality input. Sky gives mainly superb pictures from SD channels. VM’s cable is far more varied.”

Panasonic Plasma TXP42Z10B review 2 from Freewheeler: “My wife and I are both very pleased with this TV, which was a replacement for a Panasonic 28″ CRT which had developed a slight picture defect after 11 years of excellent service (so no complaints there eh?)

But this Plasma TV is excellent value, both picture and sound are superb. We also did a DIY Freesat installation and the HD channels on Freesat are very sharp, every bit as good as we expected. The design is a bit retro, but I find the high gloss black surround and stand aesthetically pleasant to look at.”

Amazon has been pimping all the new ranges of both plasma and LCD televisions that have become available recently for sizes 19”, 22”, 26”, 32”, 37”, 40”, 42”, 46”, 47”, 50” (yes “ means inches). There are an awful lot of them so I’ve decided just to let you know what the new 42 inch TV models are, some of these are very affordable cheap televisions too. Odd thing is LG has 4 new televisions in this size range alone! Two Plasma TVs and two LCD televisions.
