The Technika 32-56 32″ television has been reduced from £199.99 to £179.10 by Tesco. It is HD Ready 720p rather than 1080p but at the 32″ size the difference in picture quality isn’t going to be terribly noticeable like on a large 50″ plasma TV for example.

Connectivity wise the Technika 32-56 LCD TV has the expected slots to plug in a range of home entertainment equipment, including 3 HDMI sockets, a single SCART socket and a USB port. So it could easily accommodate a HD games console, Sky HD box, Blu-Ray DVD player and a surround sound system for example.

Even before Tesco launched the price drop deal on televisions the Technika 32-56 32″ LCD TV was one of their best selling cheap LCD televisions.

Cheap Tesco Technika 40-270 40 Inch LCD Television

Obviously price wise the Technika 40-270 40″ LCD TV is a real bargain deal, but we worry that it is possibly too cheap! We would love to get out hands on one from Tesco to test it and do a review to see if a cheap price means low picture, sound and build quality.

If you are planning on buying a Technika 40-270 40″ LCD television from Tesco we would recommend putting it next to a similar sized TV made by a more mainstream LCD manufacturer like LG, Samsung, Sony or Panasonic. Using the same input material (Freeview or DVD) and see what the actual difference in picture quality is. We’re not sure if Tesco would do this in their stores but if someone from Tesco wants to get in touch with Cheap Televisions to let us know it’s be most helpful.

Even though the Technika LCD 40-270 40″ HD television is cheap it still does come with the usual 1 year manufacturer’s warranty and Tesco do offer an extended 3 year warranty at an extra cost.

On Reevoo the reviews of the Technika 40-270 television has a perfect 10 out of 10 score. We would really take this with a pinch of salt as many of the reviews have no text and those that do just state the Technika 40-270 LCD TV is great value for money (which is obvious anyway). Not exactly feature rich, however this cheap Technika television on sale at Tesco does come with a built in DVD player and Freeview. It’s HD ready and also has 1 HDMI, 1 Scart and 1 USB connection all for under £100!

2: Amazon – £80.00 – Digihome LED16913HD 16 inch HD Ready LED TV

At £80.00 you really knock this Digihome television being sold by Amazon, ok it doesn’t have a built in DVD player like the Technika but is £16 cheaper. Although being a very cheap bargain it does have very mixed reviews on Amazon so check before buying.

3: Argos – £89.99 – Alba 16 Inch HD Ready LED TV

Another 16 inch television this time made by Alba and being sold by Argos. Yes it is a seriously ugly TV set in this hot pink colour but don’t worry as Argos do sell the same model in black (yes Argos needs to employ better photographers as we can see the reflection too). Apart from that we have little info about this Alba TV apart from a warning on the Argos page saying “This TV will not work with digital signals in the Republic of Ireland, you will require a digital set top box or satellite source ”

4: Currys – £59.97 – C15DVDB10 15.6″ HD Ready LCD TV with Built-in DVD Player

Built in Freeview and DVD player! We really have no idea how Currys are selling it for such a cheap price. Hell even if this little LCD TV has bad sound and ok picture quality it’s still a bargain! 1 of each of the usual connectors but no reviews online for this essentials C15DVDB10 television. The cheapest TV in the UK?

5: Comet – £99.99 – Goodmans LD1613 16″ LCD TV

The most expensive television in this list of bargain TVs is the Goodmans LD1613 LCD TV which another 16 inch model. Although the most expensive it doesn’t seem to have any better features that the others in this list. Reviews wise it’s no better than the others with a few issues about Freeview reception.

Comet Goomans LD1613 16 Inch LCD TV

The first of these TV deals at Tesco is the Sony KDL32 CX523 32 inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD TV with  Internet TV & Freeview HD. A full HD TV with a pretty good review score on Reevoo of 8.3 from 20 reviews for a reasonably cheap price of £399.99.

The second offer is for another, more expensive, 32 inch Sony television. The Sony KDL32 EX523 32 inch Widescreen  Full HD 1080p LED TV with Freeview HD. Again another very good review score of 8.8 on Reevoo and in the Tesco sale for £549.00.

32 inch televisions were the most popular size not that long ago, but now customers want the biggest tele they can afford and the 32″ set has fallen out of favour. However these two Sony LCD screens shouldn’t be ignored as there Bravia series is always high quality. We especially like that they both come with built in Freeview HD too. Anyway we’ll bring you the best Tesco TV deals when we hear about them very soon.

Samsung LE40C750 LCD 3D TV Deal @ Tesco

The Samsung LE40C750R2 is a 3D capable full HD 1080p LCD TV that has integrated Freeview HD and is priced at £899.99 on the Tesco Direct sound and vision site. The LE40C750R2 has the ability to convert your old 2D movies needlessly into 3D. The television scores pretty well on Reevoo with a score of 9 out of 10 from 51 reviews. The £899.99 is all you pay for the Tesco deal as the BluRay DVD player and 3D kit below come for free.

The “free” Samsung BD-C5900 3D BluRay Player included is normally prices at £169.97 on the Tesco television website and seems to have very favourable reviews scoring 9.4 out of 10 on Revoo.

So there you are 5 LCD televisions for under £165 all of which are HD ready and some even come with inbuilt DVD players which are a bit of a bargain. If you are planning on using any of these cheap televisions as your main TV I’d recommend trying to save up for something a little better. It’ll be worth it in the long run and you will notice the difference in both picture and build quality. For a television just to go in a kids bedroom or similar though, these will make a fine cheap Christmas present.

Ok back to the cheap televisions deals and looking around the internet we found a little offer that can be picked up at Tesco. They are offering a half price Xbox 360 when you buy a Technika 23” LCD TV which we believe comes with built in Freeview and a DVD player. As you would expect the Technika TV at Tesco is a HD Ready television (they all are now aren’t they?) and comes with silver trim rather than the normal black all for £200.00. Throw in the half price Xbox 360 Arcade at £79.50 and we think you’ve got a pretty good cheap television deal. Cheap Panasonic LCD TV Deal Tesco Televisions

Tesco aren’t exactly the best when it comes to explaining the features on any of the Tesco televisions they sell. The description for this Panasonic LCD TV deal only says “The Panasonic TX-L26C10B 26″ HD Ready LCD TV with built-in Freeview offers advanced picture and sound quality for home entertainment.  You can also link other AV devices via Viera link with the use of one remote & playback for digital photos (JPEG ) by just inserting the SD card into the TV.  The TV has a built-in Nicam sound system with 2 HDMI and 2 SCART connections.”

But anywho onto the reviews for the Panasonic TX-L26C10B LCD television sold by Tesco that I mentioned earlier. The 9.4 out of 10 score in the customer reviews for this cheap television come from around 30 people (not the normal 1 biased review). Below is one of the custome reviews which is actually the most negative I could find with 8 out of 10 but its the most balanced review of the Panasonic LCD television at Tesco in my humble opinion.

Good Points “Excelent value for money product. I bought it as a bedroom TV so did not need all the bells and whistles that came with a higher spec TV. One important aspect that had to be right was the sound quality as we had been very disappointed with Samsung model which had sounded very thin but this Panasonic is definitely good enough and has audio output anyway.”

Bad Points “Not that it is a problem with our set up because we view it face on but the quality of the picture is diminished when viewed from a shallow angle, a common issue with lesser spec LCD screens.”

Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD TV Deal

The marketing spiel about the Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 full HD 40 inch LCD television says “The Bravia W5500 has all the Sony technology you need to experience a new level of entertainment. Bravia Engine 3 digital processing delivers a depth, richness and clarity that will take your breath away. Motionflow 100Hz technology keeps fast-moving sports and action crisp and clear.”

Although this is their television deal of the week the Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD TV looks good in the reviews too. Customers from play.com have given it an average of 5 out of 5 stars with one of them saying “Just upgraded from one of the first Samsung 40 inch lcd 1080p televisions to hit the market and I certainly made the right choice. This TV is superb. Upscaled dvd’s and blu ray are stunning. Freeview provides a very solid picture and the menu system is very good.”

The review from What HiFi wasn’t as generous giving it 4 out of 5 stars and although they were impressed with this LCD TV they complained about the irregular backlighting which is why they didn’t give it the full 5 stars in their review: “That’s where the Sony’s fifth star has gone. We don’t think our KDL-40W5500 is faulty, we just don’t think the backlighting is good enough.”

The KDL-40W5500 Sony Bravia LCD TV doesn’t come with built in Freesat like some of the newer models but you can get up to £150 of you money back in the Sony Trade-In offer.
